Moontime Bar & Grille

Now, my perception of Moontime may be a bit tainted as I’ve only been here once and it could change nightly. You can read a different review below as well or here and here. But here’s my take:

Moontime Bar & Grille (846 Broadway) is an excellent spot for happy hippies and the like. Luckily, I’m one fifth hippy so I liked the Moontime. It’s also a Panic/Red Wings bar so be prepared for that. From the outside at night the place looks a bit sketch, but walk in and it’s an open, clean place that supports bands and booze. It has three levels: the roof to smoke, the second floor to people watch or play pool, and the first floor to sit in the corner and play one of their board games, drink and hippy dance to live music.

Hollyberry: I think this is a pretty cool place provided there’s live music. It’s a fun hang out and the upstairs lounge is chill. People aren’t particularly social here outside of their own circles but it’s a good place to take your own group of friends. Drinks are pretty affordable. The place was oddly bright – the place overall made me feel like I was at a put together house party, but a clean one and the owner of the house is having a band play. So yeah, check it out.
