Atomic Cowboy
This past Friday we stopped by some of our favorite Colfax spots including the Atomic Cowboy (3237 E Colfax). Here’s why I like this bar: board games. Oh yes, I spent a good hour of my Friday evening playing Sorry! at the bar. I totally whooped the other players, too. Unfortunately, Connect Four was missing most of it’s pieces so we had to take our second choice, and Sorry was it.
Other than the board games, thoughts on the bar are:
The Good: kitchen is open late, board games (make it a drinking game if you like), affordable drinks, good service, good BBQ, decent bar food. decent decor/atmosphere.
The Bad: crowd is hit or miss (can be annoying at times), missing game pieces, service is best at the bar – not a come to your seat often type of place.
Atomic Cowboy is even better now that Fat Sully’s pizza (NY style by the slice) AND the Denver Biscuit Company (homemade buttermilk biscuits & gravy – divine) are located inside and open late! YUM. One of my neighborhood favorites.
