So, we get these announcements from our property manager at work… and I’ve decided to start posting them because it’s a pretty entertaining update of what’s supposedly emergency happenings:

Yesterday’s:

7:54 AM: All parties be advised, expect delays if parking at Tabor Center. The Secret Service will be inspecting each vehicle that enters the garage until Friday at noon. Central Parking has posted a sign stating there is to be no overnight parking at Tabor Center. Vehicles will be towed at owners expense.

11:04 AM: The Falon Gong Protest March to the Denver Courthouse has begun.

12:09 PM: An Unknown protest group numbering in the hundreds is proceeding from Civic center park onto 16th street mall heading west.

2:10 PM: A group of Protesters from Westboro Baptist Church are protesting on the mall at 16th & Champa. Mall shuttle service is temporarily interrupted.

Today’s:

10:50 AM: Group doing roving street theatre – includes people in cars dressed in fatigues jumping out and throwing people on the ground – these people are voluntarily participating and will be wearing white t-shirts with orange arm bands – these are all willing participants.

2:20 pm: Major explosion in Commerce City at 107th and Fulton – Denver EOC looking for more info – please post or contact 720.865.7624 if you have info

2:43 pm: Commerce City incident was small perimeter spill – contained. Thanks to CDPHE for info to Denver EOC’s request for info.

Thursday:

2:01 pm: Please take a moment to review the road closures planned for the rest of today.  I25 will close at 530 so expect delays to begin earlier in both directions as preparations are made.  Colfax will be closed both directions from Federal to Kalamath possibly starting at any time due to possible parade from 2-3pm.

3:50 pm: There are 1200 protestors moving West-bound on Colfax.  Peaceful march.

Check back for more as I get them!
