DNC Survival: Get DNC Updates
Thought this was pretty hip of the DDP: you can sign up for email/twitter/facebook updates on alerts about the DNC next week. Starting August 21st, Twitter, Facebook and e-mail users can sign up for the alerts through their favorite social media application. As official announcements are released from the Democratic National Convention Committee, the Denver Police Department or RTD, program participants will be notified.
“The Downtown Denver Partnership wants to help Downtown visitors get information about road closures, transit schedule changes and detours as soon as the official announcements are made available,” said Aylene Quale, Transportation Manager for the Downtown Denver Partnership.
In keeping with the brief nature of messages on Twitter and Facebook, all alerts will be kept to 140 characters, or less. More detailed information will be on the Partnership’s Transportation page at www.DowntownDenver.com. Links to this site will be attached to the alerts to make it easy for participants to click through. Alerts will be sent between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.
How to Sign Up:
To receive the alerts, you can do the following:
1. Create your own Twitter account at www.Twitter.com and elect to follow “Downtown Denver Transport”.
