Gluten Free Places
We have a lot of friends jumping on the gluten free, vegetarian or vegan bandwagon lately. So we figured – why not find some places that cater to these people since it can be really hard to find a place to eat if you have food allergies (allergic to gluten in particular!) or just decided to stop eating it.
Zengo has a vegetarian and gluten free food selection!
Watercourse, of course.
Steubens has a pretty good selection. Good ole homecookin type meals here.
Vesta Dipping Grill (just don’t order the duck!!! It’s horrible!)
Mercury Cafe (a friend to swing dancers, organic lovers, vegetarians and non gluten eaters alike!)
Beatrice and Woodsley – the place I haven’t heard many bad things about. small plates/big wine.
Most places also have a list their menu and potential allergies. Earl’s is actually pretty thorough, though they only have 2 to 3 items that are in fact gluten free – at least you know what you’re getting. Urban spoon also has an entire list of places tagged with gluten free – we recommend calling ahead to make sure you aren’t disappointed.
